Prizewinner at the Cologne International Piano Competition at age 18, Ya-Fei Chuang has appeared at festivals including the Beethoven Festival with Christoph Eschenbach (Warsaw), the European Music Festival (Stuttgart), the Bach Festival in Leipzig, Schleswig-Holstein, Gilmore, Sarasota, Oregon, and Ravinia among others. She has appeared as a duo partner with Kim Kashkashian, Robert Levin, and with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Her upcoming solo engagements include a New York recital, performances with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Handel & Haydn Society at the Boston Symphony Hall, at Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood Festival, Gardner Museum, a tour with the New York Philomusica, the Piano Festival Ruhr, in duo recitals with cellist Steven Isserlis, and a live CD recording of the concert in Berlin Philharmonie, and returning engagements to festivals of Sarasota, Oregon, and the European Festival in Stuttgart.
